On a damp and blustery Sunday, Wing took on the Vitality Big Half in London. Before the race saw the worse of the weather with 25MPH winds and driving rain. This didn’t dampen Wings spirit and fight though, as although needing to battle against the wind, the sun came out and she recorded a fantastic time of 1:56:38. This gave Wing a new Half Marathon PB and movered her up to Silver for her category in the BoxtedRunners standards – Well done Wing !

There was a great turnout for the club run on Sunday, especially given the conditions with runners completing a 5k route, 10k route, and 12 Miles for those training for the CHM, dodging the falling branches and other obsticles along the way in extremely gusty winds.

On Saturday at Park run four Boxted Runners tackled the Colchester castlepark course, with Becky Day claiming a course PB.

Well done again to all the Boxted Runners out this weekend.
