Following the UK Government’s announcement on Saturday 19 December of new Tier 4 areas, details have been released by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Sport England as to how sport and physical activity is impacted and unfortunately, all club activities will need to stop until the restrictions are lifted. Following the UK Government’s new national COVID-19 restrictions and the publication of bespoke instructions from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), EA have revised the current guidance for athletics and running. Despite us lobbying DCMS for certain exemptions, this new guidance will apply from Thursday 5 November 2020 until Wednesday 2 December 2020.
