Chris has created the first of a series of self navigation trial runs. The first is a lovely 6 mile route starting in East Bergholt, with a Pub at the start and finish and a coffee shop half way around.

Now that the days are getting longer, we can begin our Thursday evening hill training sessions, starting on May 6th. It is a great session for all abilities and helps to improve cardiovascular fitness, leg strength and power, and increase the range of movement and form.

Celebrating our first Thursday session back as a club! So good to be back! 🙌🤩🏃‍♀️🏃🏻 Boxted Runners are now running again after the third COVID-19 lockdown. Welcoming all of our runners back in a Covid secure running environment. We will be running in maximum groups of 12, each group with a LiRF qualified run leader. New members are welcome to join. Following the UK Government’s announcement on Saturday 19 December of new Tier 4 areas, details have been released by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Sport England as to how sport and physical activity is impacted and unfortunately, all club activities will need to stop until the restrictions are lifted. We are delighted to announce following recent Government and England Athletics communications that our club sessions can resume as from Wednesday 2nd December with our first session back on Thursday morning 3rd December! 🙌 😁

Following the UK Government’s new national COVID-19 restrictions and the publication of bespoke instructions from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), EA have revised the current guidance for athletics and running. Despite us lobbying DCMS for certain exemptions, this new guidance will apply from Thursday 5 November 2020 until Wednesday 2 December 2020.
